The adjustment of the Mark Sensor which senses printing and non-printing areas on roll film is automated completely.
Overview and Feature
The names and photos of merchandise are printed on large roll film in advance. The Mark Sensor is an optical control sensor which feeds film at a constant pitch by reading printing and non-printing areas on film and change in density of printing color and is placed near the Cutter Control System (see the Figure).
In our competitors' products or existent machines, the sensitivity of this Mark Sensor was adjusted manually. Particularly, fine sensitivity adjustment specific to optical sensor requires skilled operators. Meanwhile, Totani's pouch making machine adjusts the Mark Sensor automatically when measuring printing pitch in its startup. This function substantially reduces film loss caused by mistakes in adjustment and contributes to film savings.
